Poznań University of Economics

Established in 1926, the Poznań University of Economics is one of the leading business schools in Poland. It is a state University currently attended by over 15.000 students. The PUE offers programmes at three academic levels (Bachelor, Master and PhD) as well professional post graduate studies and MBA courses. The University’s main site is located in the centre of Poznań, a 15-minute walk away from the Old Town. 

The PUE has five faculties - the Faculty of Commodity Science, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Informatics and Electronic Economy, the Faculty of International Economy and the Faculty of Management. Education at the PUE is closely linked with research. The University has relations with numerous companies and it is a forum for exchange of views, networking and discussion. Its departments carry out specialised projects, expert analyses and offer consulting services for private and public institutions.


International dimension

The University cooperates with over 120 international partners in Europe and worldwide through teacher exchange, joint programmes and collaboration in research projects. The PUE uses the ECTS, and has restructured its system in accordance with the EU policies and Bologna Process objectives. The school systematically extends the list of courses taught in foreign languages and hosts over 100 international exchange students every year.


Ranking position

The PUE is ranked among the top business schools in Poland. For several years, it has consistently come second in rankings published by respected Polish magazines, which proves the University’s strong reputation for research and education, recognised by employers. The quality of teaching at the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Management is confirmed by the accreditation of the State Accreditation Commission and the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Education – EPOQS. The Faculty of Commodity Science has been awarded an ISO 9001-2000 certificate by Det Norske Veritas.


Quality of international exchange

In 2008 the Poznań University of Economics received an award of a "Mobility-friendly University" from Polish Erasmus National Agency, as one of six Polish Universities which won such award.
